While it does have flashes of what made 300 so memorable (the first two dreamscapes, mainly), this movie, on the whole, falls completely flat. The story is pointless, stupid, poorly handled and incredibly cheesy, and almost all of the acting is awful, save for the main bad guy. This lack of meaning hurts the movie immensely, as it ends up just feeling like a hyperactive exploitation film - completely lacking in weight or tension, the only point being the sugarcoated action scenes. Even then, the last two dreamscape action scenes are fairly dull. It's a shame, considering how wonderful the opening scene was.
